For g2 Recruitment [g2], a specialist technical recruitment business, outgrowing their office was inevitable. A mediocre workplace was not.

An ending lease led to their timely departure. g2 seized the opportunity for a bigger, better space; one that would reflect their vibrant culture and help them attract and retain talent in a hyper-competitive landscape.

A serviced office space was no longer going to cut it for fast-growing recruitment agency, g2. They needed their own space and opted for Bristol’s landmark Programme building with ample room to sustain their ambitious growth plans – maintaining their 20% year-on-year growth trajectory.

It was clear they needed a multi-functional space for their team, one that offered a variety of ways to work. From the onset, they envisioned a social hub where teams can work collaboratively and thrive together.

The space makes a bold first impression to clients and candidates alike – one that reconfirms g2’s high standards and commitment to going the extra mile.

As an incredibly social team, their tea point and breakout space were always destined to become a central hub of activity, providing an essential buzz. Their enticing kitchen and lunch area encourages people to eat away from their desk and helps the team cement relationships in a shared space.

The g2 team were already big fans of table tennis and darts, so we designed a bespoke play area, complete with branded bats and balls.

Above all, their new workspace is a celebration of their team. People are at the heart of everything they do, and by investing in their own, they enable everyone they work with to be their best. Key features that help reaffirm their core values include: a personalised “winners wall” and sales board to share internal success, images of inspirational sportspeople to motivate, and prominent award cabinets highlight their achievements to date.

Although g2 has offices across the UK and Europe, they’ve maintained a local feel with rooms named after some of Bristol’s well-known green spaces such as Brandon Hill, Victoria Park, and Castle Park.

Relaxing spaces such as the corner sofa and private booth seating helps the team stay energised throughout the day. This variety of informal and formal spaces balances productivity with comfort.
