The iconic Spectrum building in the heart of Bristol provided the perfect setting for this, and Interaction created a flexible, and functional environment to spearhead Civica's business aspirations. The client is delighted with the result, and this exceptional space is an excellent addition to the Bristol office market.

"Interaction have completed a 15,000 sq ft fit out project in our newest Flagship location – The Spectrum Building. Normally we would not entertain using an untried contractor, however after I had met with Gary Duguid and visited some of Interaction's work, I had every confidence.  Gary came across as a personable and experienced individual who knows his trade inside out. He listened to our requirements and gave excellent advice, he understood our company ethos which helped us to agree a design to achieve our vision.

During the design and planning stages Interaction where very accommodating to various design changes. Egle very quickly came up with a quirky look for our meeting rooms, which had been requested by our CEO. The meeting rooms were to be the focus and show case of the project.  After a few minor tweaks the look and feel was exactly what we wanted and the CEO loves it!!

An in-depth look

Civica is a market-leading specialist in software, technology and outsourcing services. After relocating their Bath, Thornbury and Wraxwell offices they were in need of a functional open plan space, with both an impressive client facing reception and a fantastic breakout for staff, for their new ''South West Hub'' - situated in the iconic Spectrum building in the heart of Bristol. 

Interaction were approached by Civica to create a cost and space effective workplace with high occupancy, whilst also allowing for a variety of collaboration and meeting areas. Challenging the design brief, Interaction went against the normal ‘square and straight line’ floor plan, achieving a fluid, calming and unique space. The meeting suite is created around a curved structure, emphasising the quirky and impressive appearance the client was looking for. 

The large open plan working area is both functional and flexible. With several collaborative pods and two ‘Innovation’ rooms, staff have plenty space to feel inspired.

Interaction were onsite for six weeks and completed the overall build works, created a great new breakout area and a reception to accommodate clients, all reflecting the image and brand of the business.

After delivering the project on time and on budget the client is delighted, and the outcome is fantastic. What results is an exceptional space and an excellent addition to the Bristol office market.

During the project delivery stages the Hannah the PM was often asked to change direction. She was very accommodating, ensuring that we maintained the pace of delivery to achieve the tight deadlines required.  Often our requests were challenging, making life difficult for the contractors, however, they were always met with an accommodating smile.

The project was delivered on time and to budget, we requested some large variations throughout the project, all of which were delivered within the original time frames, including practical completion. The project was delivered snag free less furniture, however, this was due to the short lead times we insisted on to deliver the project. 

In summary a fantastic project, surpassing my expectations, delivered by an accommodating contractor who delivers in spades. I unreservedly recommend Interaction and look forward to working with them again in the near future."
