A workspace shaped by heritage

Runway East‘s latest workspace sits within the Hickman building, working in harmony with the existing architecture and earlier phases of the building’s development.

The design takes inspiration from the building’s history, with materials and detailing chosen to reflect craftsmanship and quality. Industrial elements are retained and celebrated, creating a backdrop for a more refined interior approach.

An open café space sits at the centre of the layout, supported by a range of work settings that balance shared and private use. Throughout the space, finishes and fixtures have been carefully selected to complement the building’s character while introducing warmth and texture.

Sustainability was a key consideration during the design process, influencing material choices and the overall approach to the fit-out.
