Another financial year has come and gone, and it's one to celebrate...

A new financial year is a great chance to look back at the past 12 months – it’s been an amazing year, filled to the brim with inspirational projects, new faces and all-round hard work. Read on to discover some of our highlights…

Branching out for SunLife’s Bristol workplace

What do you get when you combine a reputable insurance company and Interaction’s designers? A bespoke handmade tree, what else? SunLife wanted a wow-factor space to inspire staff members and visitors alike – and this is exactly what was achieved. It was an amazing project to work on, and a chance for our designers to truly show what they’re made of; a feat that can clearly be seen in the finished result.

Key features included a bespoke tree, Manhattan style glass and a varied choice of spaces for working and downtime.

Opening the doors to Wild & Wolf’s new HQ

With a bespoke showroom, naturally we wanted to give visitors the chance to get a sneak peak of Wild & Wolf’s new Manvers Street workplace – cue an office tour with the project designers at our very first “Show & Tell” event. It was a chance to get inspired, find out more about the project and mingle – all topped off with some lovely bubbly and canapés!

Manvers Street, where we hosted our Show & Tell event, is one of the most prolific office spaces in Bath - thanks to a £6.2 million refurbishment completed in 2017.

And the award goes to…

In October, we were thrilled to win "Commercial Fit-Out or Refurbishment Project of the Year" at the Insider South West Property Awards – all thanks to the amazing castle fit-out we completed for money.co.uk. Commenting on the project, the judges said how: “The brief was to create the best possible place to work, which was certainly achieved with a gym, cinema, and social areas, as well as flexible office space".

The judges commented further that: "Interaction’s refurbishment of money.co.uk’s castle in Cirencester stood out from a very crowded field thanks to its ambition and the detailed work that had gone into delivering the client’s requirements".

Developing our in-house visuals

Keen to keep our clients in the loop at every stage of a project, we’ve developed our in-house visualisation capabilities significantly in the last 12 months. Not only can our designers see which layouts, colour schemes and finishes will work best, but each client can get a feel for what their new workplace will really look like too. The visuals really do speak for themselves and more often than not they are a perfect match to the finished spaces; something you can see with our #visualorphoto posts on social media.

Good luck trying to tell these two apart! An example of "Visual or Photo", featuring Vistair's new Bristol workplace.

Welcoming new faces to the Interaction family

The 2017/18 financial year was one of our biggest years for team growth – with a whopping 11 new team members joining us (Todd, Victoria, Mary, Lucy, Matt, James, Charlie, Emily, Bethany, Sean and Harry. Phew!) Taking on roles across the business in Project Management, Design, Visualisation, Marketing, and Business Development, new personalities are always a welcome change, and help to bring fresh ideas, passion and resource, factors that help us to impress our clients time and time again.

The design team has seen the largest increase - so much that soon we'll need a bigger boardroom!

We’re excited…

…to see what the next financial year brings. Just watch this space, as it’s set to be another good’un…
