Project In A Nutshell

Sector: Software
Size: 6,000 sq ft
Location: Bristol

The Vision

As Scott Logic continued to grow and be successful in the South West, they recognised that it was time to invest in their workspace. Looking to relocate to a larger office space and use the opportunity to reinstate their message and brand within the workplace, Scott Logic chose 1 Redcliff Street as their new home. The office design and fit out was to focus on improving ways of working by creating a space that would fit the needs and aspirations of their employees, and to also provide a great space to showcase their business with events. It was with this that Interaction worked with Scott Logic to develop a tailored design that would bring their vision to reality.

The empty existing floor plate had lots of potential. Using their design expertise, Interaction created a progressive workplace design that would consider wellbeing, collaboration and the ability to host events at the heart of it. Something that was central to the brief. The 6,000 sq ft floor would be transformed into a stylish, on brand and versatile workspace embodying the Scott Logic culture.

The Result

From an empty floor plate into an inspirational place to work, Interaction have designed an interconnected and bright new workspace for Scott Logic to call home. Leading into a beautiful reception area you are welcomed by on brand design and stylish soft furnishings, improving that initial impression and client experience. With a focus on openness and a shift to agile working there are numerous opportunities throughout the design to hold ad hoc meetings in booths or at AV supported high benches, encouraging more connected working styles. Cleverly positioned wooden dividing screens add some privacy to these ad hoc points whilst also reducing noise distraction. The office space has been designed to accommodate both quiet individual work and group collaborative meetings.

It was important for Scott Logic to be able to host both internal and external events in an attractive and functional space. Using our design expertise the Interaction team cleverly created a multifunctional tea point and breakout space fit with kitchen essentials, soft seating, small meeting points, games and tiered seating which doubles up as storage. The buildings natural light coupled with biophilic design creates a breakout area that brings the outside in and is the perfect space to hold events. The finished result has not only given Scott Logic the tools to meet their employees needs but has also given them a space to be proud of.
