The Vision

Driving an expansion of their service offerings in the South West, The Ethical Property Company (Ethical) opened a new home in the Streamline Building within Paintworks, Bristol. With a focus on providing office space for businesses with an ethical and sustainable focus, it was important that the design and fit out of the building reflected this – a brief that would see design and build specialists, Interaction, chosen to carry out the works.

The aspiration of the building was to provide high quality serviced office space whilst also achieving ‘Excellent’ against the BREEAM assessment. Working with Interaction saw this goal fulfilled, adhering to Ethical’s green lease status.

The Result

Ethical now have 21,000 Sq Ft of Cat A, green office space ready to take on a multitude of charities, non-profit organisations and sustainably focused businesses. Key design elements reflect the Art Deco architecture of the building, with emphasis on natural features embedded within communal spaces.

Central to the design and functionality of the office space was creating an excellent accessible user experience, allowing each potential tenant the freedom to customise their space with separate lighting and heating control systems. Through deeply understanding the vision and brief of Ethical, Interaction were able to deliver an excellent co-working hub ready to take on a number of new occupants.

The Key Features
