Attracting new talent was another priority for the growing company.
Insurance broker Sutton Specialist Risks (SSR) approached Interaction with a clear brief. The company wanted an office that would reflect its dynamic service offering and help attract, and retain, talent.
Bristol based, SSR was founded in 1989 and had in recent years moved towards providing a more complex package of value added services to clients. SSR made the decision to relocate to new premises because it wanted a base that would better, and more efficiently, support workers’ needs.
In particular, the company needed an office that would actively boost worker collaboration, encouraging team members to work together to tackle challenges with creative solutions.
SSR brought Interaction on board at an early stage in the relocation plan. This allowed Interaction to demonstrate that SSR’s space requirement was actually 30% less than the company anticipated it needed at a new base in Bristol’s Bull Wharf.
Interaction designed a floor plan for SSR that fully utilised 4,400 sq ft, while more effectively supporting SSR’s business needs than its previous office allowed. This was achieved by creating a collage of flexible, informal spaces to improve SSR’s team cohesion.
Interaction also sought to give the new office a vibrant, fresh look that would appeal to both new talent and the existing team.
The upshot was the creation of an attractive, modern and fit-for-purpose base for SSR that communicated the company’s service values and progressive outlook.
