An in-depth look

Serviced office provider Clarendon Business Centres seized the opportunity to add to their growing portfolio and create their first serviced office space in the South West. Clarendon asked Interaction to provide them with a first-rate, unique, high specification space in a 'boutique hotel' style. The perfect space was found, with a huge amount of potential; 13,000 sq ft over four floors of Cambridge House in central Bath. 

The design that Interaction created is akin to a 5-star hotel and each floor has its own distinctive feel and look, with an overall 'shape' theme, the floors individual themes include circle, hexagon, triangle and rectangle. Interaction designed the whole space to have a discernible sense of quality. Every floor has its own unique tea point, phone booth with indicative lights that show whether the room is occupied. Ultimately, the environment created by Interaction showcases the quality that Clarendon insist upon, demonstrated by the bespoke joinery items, clean lines and muted colours that reinforce the sense of class and luxury.

The finished result sets it apart from Clarendon’s serviced office competitors, and provides a high-end, contemporary space to give the small businesses of Bath the tools they need to grow and continue to be successful. Interaction delivered the space completely snag free, something that the client wasn't expecting, after saying previously that if it was delivered snag free, they would 'eat their hat'. The project was declared snag free, and on the hand-over the team made a very special ‘hat’ cake, that inevitably was eaten…
